morning walk

morning walk2Every morning, I do a short walk with Daisy Dog,  Kainaat and their friend Psyche the greyhound. We walk through the campsite and smallholding and check on all the animals.

The alpacas and sheep are early risers. The pigs get up a little later – they prefer to stay in bed until 8am when they get their breakfast.

After walking through the smallholding we walk down the bridleway to a small wood that is just behind our land.

We walk through the wood onto a small heath of heather and bracken. Obviously we stop to look at the blossom, find deer trails, and check out interesting smells!

The dogs have to wait before they go through the gate into the village play area.

We then walk up the meadow towards the church and cut back into our campsite through a small gate into our little copse area. It only takes about 10-15 minutes, but it is a lovely way to start the day.

  1. Thanks for letting us in on the morning walk about. Felt like I was there with you. Very sweet seeing Daisy and Kai being so good with rules. Wish I was an early morning person as it all looks so appealing. Alas…

  2. you live in a Beatrix Potter story! And I would guess its faeries living in your wood or gnomes possibly.
