Exploring Islay

Port EllenOn our first full day here, we didn’t do too much as we were both exhausted and I am not feeling too good as I have the obligatory holiday cold! We had a look around Port Ellen, the nearest (very) small town, popped into the shops of a few distilleries, visited Kildalton church, the beach at Claggain Bay, and we did a mini walk to Eilean Imersay – a little island you can cross over to at low tide on shingle. dogs at Port EllenDaisy and KaiPort Ellen3

  1. Sorry you ended up with a cold. Hope it passes soon and you actually do get a rest. Both of you. Hugs to you all, Kainaat and Daisy Dog included.

    • Cold has lingered all week. I am sure it will be better by the time I go back to work on Monday. I reckon it is my body’s way of saying, please get some sleep don’t just walk all day! Hugs and love to you as well from all of us. xxx

  2. I know it’s hard to be a good sick person. Means going against your nature of exploring, moving about, being outside and in the natural world. Know cold will leave eventually so maybe staying a bit active is not a bad thing. You are on vacation no matter if you are reclining or walking, right?
