I have made them a house in my bike shed in the front garden. At first I restricted them to half of the shed until they got used to being outside and the new heater. One door is shut during the day and the other is open so they have light and a breeze. They now have full run of the little shed and in a few days I will let them go outside onto the grass. I just wanted them to know where the warmth and food was first.
For the first few days I just put them outside during the day and brought them back into the inside brooder at night. But now they are out there all the time, not least because we now have new occupants in the brooder ….. more news on that tomorrow
