And that was May


A busy month with lambing: 14 lambs were born – 9 ram lambs and 4 ewe lambs survived, one ewe died. Lots of lambing learning – tail chewing, cunning adoption, injections, large lambs, lambs with their heads stuck, and bottle feeding.


It was also a month of ducks – more ducklings hatched and some were dispatched.


And the garden blossomed with the fruit cage and vertical garden doing well, seedlings multiplying, slugs devouring and bountiful harvests of lettuce, radishes and rocket – as well as the last of the psb, leeks and the swiss chard.


And of course honey, polytunnels, two bankholidays and blossom.
