Broad Bean Hummus


I am exhausted from working on the hugelkultur all day and need my dinner so this will be a quick one…..


If you find yourself with a lot of broad beans that are maybe a little past their best i.e. they are a bit large and floury then I recommend making this as it will make it all better. This is so easy it isn’t really even a recipe, but here goes ….

Broad Bean Dip: podded broadbeans cooked and the outer skin removed; garlic; olive oil; lemon juice; seasoning.

Whizz everything up in a food processor.  Add lemon juice to taste. Once nice and smooth put in a bowl. you can pour over some olive or lemon oil is nice too. We eat it with bread and cucumbers.


It freezes well too.
